Zoot Ultra Team

I can't remember if I've posted this or not, but I'm pumped to be a part of the Zoot Ultra Team once again this season.  Zoot definitely has the best triathlon gear around and I'm truly fortunate to be working with such a great company and an incredible group of athletes!

If you have questions about any of the Zoot gear or shoes, let me know as I'd be happy to answer whatever your questions might be.  I can't wait to get some of the new 2012 shoes out for some miles, they look awesome!!

As soon as I get some new gear to try out I'll post some reviews here.  I haven't been disappointed with their gear yet!

What a Difference a Seat Can Make

Last night before I hopped onto my rollers I changed from one Fizik seat to another one that I had.  Wow, it felt like I was riding a new bike.  Nothing was getting numb...it was awesome.  Even though I've ridden today already I'm tempted to hop on the rollers for a little bit tonight.

We're supposed to get some snow today, first of all I'll believe it when I see it. I would love to have some snow though.  And I'm sure the dogs would love it too.  Winther has been going crazy lately...because of that I'm sure he's feeling better.  He goes so nuts sometimes that I worry a little bit.  They are loving their walks though, and always want to run.  I suppose in a few months they may be able to.

I busted out the H20 Audio waterproof headphones in the pool yesterday.  It was nice to crank out some work while listening to some music.  Defintely makes the time go by faster, and when open water swimming starts up this summer these are going to be awesome. I may just keep swimming totally loosing track of time.  Thanks H20 Audio!!!!

I was checking out youtube and found a training day with Matty Reed, kind of cool.

What's with the Weather & GU 2012

54 degrees on January 10th?  Really?  I'm guessing this is going to make for an incredibly bad February, though I love the snow so bring it on!  I was hoping this weekend was going to be nice so that I could ride outside, but I'm not so sure that will happen.  Oh well the trainer may be working overtime.

Does anyone know of any good software (free would be awesome) to edit video from my Go Pro?  I want to get some videos rolling, and just am not sure of how to edit it.  Yes I know if I had a Mac I could do it easily...but I don't so I need another solution.

On a separate note, I heard from GU yesterday that I'll be an ambassador once again for the 2012 season.  I'm excited about this, I've been working with GU for quite a seasons now actually I think it's been for 5 years and their products are awesome!  My new go to is the "Island Nectars Roctane" pretty much amazing!!

Pain

Is it wrong that I thoroughly enjoy pain sometimes?  For whatever reason it seems to bring an awesome feeling when it's over.  This morning took a little extra focus as the set wasn't all that easy, not impossible, but it took some work.  As always you'll never regret a workout, and I sure don't.  You better believe I'm rockin my Zoot compression socks and shorts right now though.  Drinking a lot of water today is going to be important too.

I'm still working on the getting my Go Pro videos viewable.  It records in such a high resolution that I think the files are too big to upload here.  I'll keep working on it though.  In the meantime here's a short clip of Rinny training in Hawaii...if only running felt as easy as she makes it look.

A New Year...New Goals

So just like my vacation, my blog has taken a brief vacation too.  The past two weeks have been great!  I took quite a bit of down time, and time to just chill, which was perfect and I'm feeling recharged now.  I did get some solid training in, but I made sure to not over do it.  I'll get some pictures up from some of my training sessions soon...and maybe a short video from the Go Pro which Brittany got me for Christmas. Not going to lie, I'm super pumped about it!  I took it out for a quick ride this weekend when we were in Michigan and it's amazing how nice the footage is.

It's a new year, and that means there are new goals.  I do have quite a few large goals to shoot for this year, and I'm excited to start this journey.  I know it's going to be bigger and better than ever  before.  2012 is going to be a great year, and has already started off better than ever.
